Bio: Defender Stephen Keel joins the Sounders on loan from the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer. A native of Littleton, CO, Defender Stephen Keel joined the Rapids as a developmental player in July of 2005. With the Reserve team in 2005, Keel played in six matches recording 525 minutes and one assist. This season Keel has started three matches for the Rapids Reserves.

At Wake Forest University Keel played in 63 matches, starting all 20 his senior season. In his collegiate career, Keel connected on 13 goals and nine assists.

Keel played for the Bradenton Academics of the USL's PDL; training at the Bradenton Soccer Academy during his youth career, Keel helped Bradenton to two Soccer Academy League Championships. Keel was also a member of Colorado's ODP team from 1994-1999.
