Bio: Joining the Sounders late in the 2005 season, Galindo played in five matches including the playoffs, tallying 396 minutes. His lone goal of the season tied the championship game at 1-1 forcing penalty kicks, and helped the Sounders become the 2005 USL First Division Champions.
From Villa Clara, Cuba, Galindo traveled to Seattle last summer with the Cuban National Team for the 2005 Gold Cup. After a match, Galindo left the team’s hotel and boarded a Seattle area bus. He asked the bus driver to call the Cuban team liaison who helped Galindo contact the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service office, ultimately allowing him to stay in the U.S.
During Gold Cup play, Galindo scored one of Cuba’s three total goals. Galindo scored Cuba’s only goal in a 4-1 loss to the United States, as the Cuban National Team went winless during the tournament.
