(Seattle, WA) – The Seattle Sounders, reigning United Soccer Leagues (USL) First Division Champions, today announced give-away items will be handed out at every home game over the course of the 2006 season at Qwest Field.
“In an effort to provide a better atmosphere, and an increased game-day environment for our fans, we will give away items at each home game,” said Sounders assistant general manager Bart Wiley.
“In addition to give-away items, fans should look for a more dramatic pre-game introduction ceremony, continued video board usage, improved half-time entertainment, and more consistent in-game crowd interaction.”

May 13 – 2006 magnet schedules, Opening Night
May 17 – Commemorative championship game coins
May 20 – Commemorative military coins, Military / Civil / Scout Appreciation Night
May 27 – Seattle Sounders lanyards
June 2 – Seattle Sounders playing cards, College / Singles / Poker Night
June 28 – Seattle Sounders bracelets
July 1 – Maracas, Fiesta Latino Night
July 15 – Tote bags, Ladies Night
July 22 – Seattle Sounders Bobble head, Nike Night
August 12 – Seattle Sounders head bands, Adult soccer / referee Night
August 20 – “Pot-Luck” Give-Away Night
August 25 – Paper airplanes, Flight Night
September 1 – Seattle Sounders key chains
September 9 – Team posters, Youth Soccer / Fan Appreciation Night
On May 13th, after the Sounders tangle with the Minnesota Thunder on Opening Night (Magnet schedule give-away), fans will be welcomed onto the field to meet their favorite Sounders, take pictures and get autographs. The same post-game opportunity will be available after the regular season finale on September 9th, Youth Soccer / Fan Appreciation Night (Team poster give-away).
“We want fans to have fun at our games, that’s the bottom line,” continued Wiley.
The 2006 Sounders season begins on April 23rd in Minnesota.
