The Seattle Sounders (1-4-3, 6 pts.) return home for a match against the Carolina RailHawks on Wednesday at Qwest Field, kickoff is at 7 p.m.

It could be Kevin Sakuda’s 100th appearance for the Sounders since joining the club in 2003. Sakuda will be making his 85th consecutive start for Seattle – a streak that dates back to 2004 – and has been a mainstay in the Sounder midfield.

The match will also be the first ever meeting between the Sounders and the expansion Railhawks. Carolina joined the USL First Division at the beginning of the season along with the California Victory.

Seattle has gone its last four games without a win and will face a club that has won its last three matches – one of those against Chivas USA of Major League Soccer in an exhibition match. After a 2-0 win against Chivas USA on May 8, the RailHawks went on to beat the Atlanta Silverbacks on the road 2-1, and then defeated Charleston 1-0 on Saturday.

The Sounders expect player-coach Leighton O’Brien to return to the lineup from a hamstring injury. O’Brien, who won the A-League MVP award in 2002, has missed seven games since the season opener against Vancouver.

On Sunday, Chris Eylander made 10 saves against Montreal, giving him the league lead in saves with 34. Sounder midfielder Josh Gardner leads the USL First Division in shots with 17.

After tonight’s match, the Sounders will begin a four-game road trip within league play starting Saturday. Seattle will make stops in California, Charleston, Atlanta and Carolina.

The Sounders next home match is an exhibition against Chivas USA from Major League Soccer on June 2, at 7 p.m. at Qwest Field. Former Sounder Maykel Galindo has scored four goals all ready this season in MLS and is expected to feature in the match.
