The Seattle Sounders announced today reserved seating sections 109 and 111 are sold out for the September 4th US Open Cup Semifinal match against FC Dallas of Major League Soccer (MLS).
Remaining reserved seating is selling quickly and the available inventory is expected to be gone by game day.
The match is the biggest match the Sounders have featured in since the 2005 USL First Division Championship match at Qwest Field.
FC Dallas, currently second in the MLS Western Conference standings, added Brazilian World Cup champion midfielder Denilson to their roster and he is expected to be available for the match.
The winner of the US Open Cup receives a $100,000 cash prize.
The Sounders also announced today that they will submit a bid to US Soccer to host the US Open Cup Final should they advance past FC Dallas. US Soccer will award the hosting of the match to the best bid among the semifinal winners. The Open Cup Final is scheduled for October 2nd or 3rd.
Fans wishing to order reserved seats to the match are encouraged to do so quickly in order to get the best seats available. Reserved seats start at $20 each and are available through SeattleSounders.net or by calling 206.622.3415.
Due to the magnitude of the September 4th U.S. Open Cup Semi-Final match between the Sounders and FC Dallas, fans are encouraged to arrive early to Qwest Field.
With the anticipated crowd on that evening, an early arrival will help ensure an on-time kick-off.
