SEATTLE – The Seattle Sounders were crowned champions of the United Soccer Leagues First Division after defeating the Richmond Kickers 4-3 in the penalty kick round of the USL First Division Championship match Saturday night at Qwest Field. In his final game as a Sounder, defender Scott Jenkins scored the winning penalty kick before Richmond goalkeeper Ronnie Pascale hit the crossbar in the seventh round of penalty kicks to give the Sounders their third USL title.

MONTREAL, September 25, 2005 – A goal by Sounders forward Roger Levesque in the 90th minute allowed the Sounders to beat the Montreal Impact 2-1, Sunday, in front of 10,124 spectators at the Claude-Robillard Sports Complex. With the victory, the Sounders advance to the United Soccer Leagues championship match for the second consecutive year.

TUKWILA, Wash. – The Montreal Impact scored two goals in the final four minutes to tie the Seattle Sounders 2-2 Friday night in the first game of the United Soccer Leagues First Division semifinals at the Starfire Sports Complex. Substitute forward Charles Gbeke scored both goals for the Impact, both with his head, as the home-and-away aggregate series now shifts over to Montreal Sunday for the second and decisive game.

TUKWILA, Wash. -- Once again forward Roger Levesque scored all the goals as the Seattle Sounders defeated the Portland Timbers 2-0 Sunday night in front of a packed house at the Starfire Sports Complex to move on to the next round of the 2005 United Soccer Leagues Playoffs. Levesque’s two goals gave Seattle a 3-0 aggregate win in the series with Portland, following a 1-0 Sounders victory Friday night in which Levesque scored the game’s only goal.

SEATTLE- The Seattle Sounders (11-6-11) ended their 2005 regular season on a high note as they defeated the first place team in the United Soccer Leagues- Montreal Impact (17-3-7) 1-0 before a crowd of 5,966 at Qwest Field on Friday night.

Atlanta, Ga. - Roger Levesque's team-leading sixth goal of the season broke the tie and propelled the Seattle Sounders into the United Soccer league First Division playoffs with a 2-1 win over the Atlanta Silverbacks before 1,469 at Memorial Stadium.

Charleston, S.C.. - For the fourth straight game the Seattle Sounders failed to hold a second half lead. Only this time, instead of settling for a tie and one point, they dropped a 2-1 decision to the Charleston Battery Friday before 3,371 at Blackbaud Stadium.

SEATTLE – The Seattle Sounders tied the Puerto Rico Islanders 2-2 Friday night in front of 3,527 fans at Qwest Field. Rookie Brent Whitfield continued his impressive play with a goal and assist in the first half, but it wasn’t enough to top Islanders forward Mauricio Salles’ two goals – one being a tremendous long-range effort in the 74th minute that equalized the match.

SEATTLE – Defender Pete Luzak scored a late goal in the 89th minute – allowing the Richmond Kickers to escape from Qwest Field with a 1-1 draw against the Seattle Sounders Saturday night.
