TUKWILA, Wash. -- Once again forward Roger Levesque scored all the goals as the Seattle Sounders defeated the Portland Timbers 2-0 Sunday night in front of a packed house at the Starfire Sports Complex to move on to the next round of the 2005 United Soccer Leagues Playoffs. Levesque’s two goals gave Seattle a 3-0 aggregate win in the series with Portland, following a 1-0 Sounders victory Friday night in which Levesque scored the game’s only goal.

SEATTLE- Seattle Sounders Defender Taylor Graham and goalkeeper Preston Burpo were selected today to the United Soccer Leagues First Division’s All-League First Team and All-League Second Team, respectively.

The first playoff game will take place at PGE Park on Friday, September 16 with the final game of the two-game, aggregately scored series being played at the Starfire Sports Complex on Sunday, September 18th – kick off is set for 7:00 pm.

(Seattle, WA) – After a 30-day process of weeding through legal and political issues, the Seattle Sounders today announced recent Cuban defector Maykel Galindo has received playing clearance from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and will join the Sounders for the remainder of the 2005 season.
