SEATTLE- The Sounders will match up against the Salinas Valley Samba on Wednesday, June 29th as they host the second round of the U.S. Open Cup. The match kicks off at 7:30pm at Starfire Sports Complex.

TUKWILA- The Seattle Sounders played host to the All Nations Cup Champions, Bosnia tonight at the Starfire Sports Complex. Three different Sounders scored to capture the exhibition match victory 3-0.
In the first minute of the match forward Brent Whitfield found himself was wide open just inside the 18-yard box, his strong unchallenged shot hit the post and deflected into the Bosnian defense.

SEATTLE- The Seattle Sounders Men’s and Women’s teams host exhibition games today, Friday June 17, 2005. The Men can be seen at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila at 8pm versus the All Nations Cup Champions, Bosnia. The Women will host the US U-21 Women’s National Team at Husky Soccer Field at 4pm.

TUKWILA – The Seattle Sounders Women played host to the Denver Lady Cougars at the Starfire Sports Complex tonight (June 10). The Sounders Women who matched up against the Lady Cougars just a week ago were ready for a rematch. However, the visiting Lady Cougars were on top of their game as they defeated the Women 3-0. Keelin Winters led the Denver with two goals on the night.

SEATTLE - The Seattle Sounders today announced the 3rd Annual Kids Day in Qwest Field will take place on August 9th at 11am. For just $5.00, kids can watch a rematch of the 2004 Kids Day contest against the Hibernian & Caledonian Saints F.C.
The soccer match consists of three-30 minute periods instead of two-45 minute halves. Intermissions will include a presentation by Sounders players about goal-setting, and a friendly skills competition between groups of kids on the field.
“We hope the kids will learn from our message that if you have a passion in life to work hard for it,” said Sounder Craig Tomlinson. “Always have fun, but more importantly always believe in yourself. These are key thought processes for kids to travel down the road to success.”
The 3rd Annual Kids Day at Qwest Field is sponsored by Krispy Kreme, who will be handing out donuts to kids entering the stadium. Other game day activities will include a "Rally Booth" where kids can get their faces painted and make banners to cheer on the Sounders. There will also be a post game autograph session and meet ‘n greet with the players.

SEATTLE- The Seattle Sounders Men (4-1-2) are on a two week break from games after their first two game road trip last weekend where they defeated Richmond 2-0 and Virginia Beach 2-1. They will resume play on June 17th as they host All Nations Cup Champions, Bosnia in an exhibition match at 8pm at Starfire Sports Complex. United Soccer League games resume on Tuesday, June 21st when the Sounders Men host the Rochester Raging Rhinos at Qwest Field at 7pm.
The Seattle Sounders Women (2-3-1) play host to the Denver Lady Cougars on Friday, June 10th, 7:30pm (NEW START TIME) at the Starfire Sports Complex. The Women return home after a three game road trip to Colorado where they fell to the Mile High Mustangs, the Denver Lady Cougars and defeated the Fort Collins Force.

The Seattle Sounders, in conjunction with Sister Communities, announce a benefit match featuring the Seattle Sounders vs. the 2004 All Nations Cup Champions, Bosnia on June 17th at 8:00 pm at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila.
All proceeds from ticket sales support the work and projects of Sister Communities, the organizers of the All Nations Cup. Tickets are only available at the door on the evening of June 17th. The suggested donation is $10 and kids 12 and under are admitted free.

DENVER, CO- Last night (June 4) the Seattle Sounders Women battled against the Lady Cougars of Denver for the first time in 2005. In a long, hard fought, even match the Women of Seattle slipped in the 102 minute to the Cougars.
This match was the second of a three game road trip for the Women as they fell 3-2 to the Mile High Mustangs on Thursday night.
In the 13 minute the Lady Cougars pressed hard on the Sounders Women and recorded the first goal of the match. Midfielder Kristen Kemp scored her fourth goal of the season from Megan Flanagan, who recorded her first assist of the season.
At half time the Cougars were leading 1-0. The Seattle Women came out hard on the attack which resulted in a goal by midfielder Kelli Smith in the 52 minute.

Fort Collins, CO – Tonight the Seattle Sounders Women (2-3-1) recorded their second win of the season on the tail end of a long three game road trip to Colorado. The Women destroyed the Force (1-2-1) defense with a 5-1 victory to end the road trip. Sounders Women were lead my midfielder Chalise Baysa (pictured) who scored three goals in the match.
The Sounders Women came out strong in the first few minutes of the game when Baysa netted her first goal of the match off an assist from Nicole Garbin in the second minute.
The Force answered back in the 22nd minute when Sara Sedgwick scored an unassisted goal for Fort Collins. Sedgwick’s goal would be the only goal of the match for the Force.
In the 35th minute Malia Arrant found the net when she received a through ball from Garbin.

Virginia Beach, Va.- Roger Levesque scored two second half goals and the Seattle Sounders swept both games of their first road trip of the season by defeating the Virginia Beach Mariners, 2-1, before 1,061 Saturday at the Virginia Beach Sports Complex. The win comes less than 24-hours after the Sounders defeated the Richmond Kickers.
It was a very defensive first 45 minutes with most of the play in the middle third of the field. The Mariners did get an early scoring opportunity when John Barry Nusum pushed a ball just wide of the left post from 18-yards up in the 4th minute.
The Sounders best first half scoring opportunity came in the final minutes. Jake Sagare sent a cross into the 18-yard box off the left side. The ball one hopped to Scott Jenkins who tried to turn into the ball at the top right of the 6-yard box but he could not make contact on the attempted header.
Recharged at halftime the Sounders (4-1-2) worked quickly to score the game’s first goal. Kevin Sakuda ran down a loose ball at the mid circle and slipped it ahead to C.J. Klaas. Klaas sprinted forward through the Mariner midfield and pushed the ball ahead to Levesque who split the last two Virginia Beach defenders, drawing out goalkeeper Matt Nelson. Levesque then slid the ball past Nelson at the left post for the 1-0 lead in the 47th minute.
